About This Project

Overlooking the stunning Tweed River, a 1300m² rooftop garden was installed, showcasing a wide variety of locally sourced plants set amidst ‘rooms’ of trees, sculptures, water features and edible gardens.  Tropical flowering shrubs, trees and ground covers will display colour and texture; meandering paths, functional seating and delightful avenues of trees to create space and flow; all-in-all resulting in a leisurely haven for residents to enjoy.

Of course such a project comes with logistical challenges.  Over 500 tonnes of soil, trees and garden sculptures and furniture needed to be transported to the roof via crane.  Boyds Bay Landscaping isn’t new to such challenges, having worked on a variety of off-shore and isolated locations such as Laucala Island in Fiji, and more recently the Hayman Island upgrade.  Transporting trees via helicopter and hundreds of cubic metres of landscaping supplies by barge is no big deal to the crews at Boyds Bay!
