About This Project

For years the Northern end of the Gold Coast has been the fastest growing and for most part is the final frontier of the region. Boyds Bay have contributed their landscape and environmental services to countless projects throughout the Oxenford, Coomera, Upper Coomera and Pimpama corridor. As the housing developments continue to rise the time has finally arrived for the infrastructure of the area to catch up. It began with the redevelopment of the North and Southbound highway exits at Coomera and the connecting overpass. This then paved the way for the construction of a new Shell Service Centre, upgrade to the Coomera train station and the, currently under construction, Westfield Shopping Centre. Further projects are planned for the adjacent land such as The Link, a retail and industrial business park that aims to be the biggest the Gold Coast has ever seen.
From its theme parks and seemingly never ending housing developments, to its chaotic central highway and arid, rocky appearance it’s easy for people to forget this entire area sits only 12 kilometres from the open waters of the Pacific Ocean. The region is filled with interconnected waterways that flow right through its heart to the coastal chain of islands that protect the northern coast line. On the back of the much needed upgrade to infrastructure in the area it is of the utmost importance to ensure the surrounding waterways and bushlands remain clean while the local flora and fauna continue to thrive in their natural setting. Sustainability continues to be at the forefront of new development and undertaking the creek realignment works showcases the ability to work with and preserve the existing landscape.
