About This Project

Another project in the books for Logan City Council’s ever growing, ever improving parks department portfolio. It’s always a pleasure for Boyds Bay working alongside this client from dog parks to playgrounds the Logan City catchment has no shortage a public green space and they treat each and everyone the utmost care ensuring the community can best utilise them.

The recent refurbishment to this playground at Alexander Clark Park is but a small section on the edge of the vast Logan River Parklands, just off to the inland side of the M1. A part that is also close to residential homes and therefore heavily used by the public. It’s with this in mind that a sense of durability and industry that surrounds the area shines through on this project showcasing strong, concrete features. Utilising concrete pipes as planters and the inclusion of a controllable digger play into not only the industrial roots of the area but also how it’s intertwined with the surrounding bush and wetlands. The concrete will provide stability throughout the many years of use to come. Being a refurbishment, new life was also given to existing features of the park with fresh coats of paint and fix-ups the park looks better than ever.
